Thoroughbred stewards’ inquiry – Trainer Adam Durrant (Queen of Jerusalem)

Racing WA stewards have been advised by the ChemCentre in Perth that 4-hydroxy xylazine was detected in the urine sample taken from Queen of Jerusalem, trained by Adam Durrant, following it competing in, and winning, Race 7 at Bunbury on 11 July 2024.

These findings have been verified by Racing Analytical Services Laboratory in Victoria.

Stewards will inquire into these reports on Tuesday, 24 September 2024, which Mr Durrant has been directed to attend.

4-hydroxy xylazine is a metabolite of xylazine which is a sedative medication.
