Albany Harness Racing Club

The Albany Harness Racing Club has a rich history at the Harold Reid Raceway. It has been a cornerstone of the Great Southern region's harness racing scene since its establishment in 1974.

Each year, the club hosts approximately 10 race meetings during the summer season, typically from December to February. In the 2024/2025 season, the club celebrated its 50th anniversary, marking half a century of racing at its current venue. This milestone was commemorated on December 28, 2024, with significant community participation, underscoring the club's role as a vital social hub in the region.

Feature races at the Albany Harness Racing Club include the Harry Capararo Memorial, the Albany Cup and the Denmark Cup.
