The Mount Barker Turf Club was first formed in the early 1890’s and has since been providing locals with a great day out. The club also works closely with the local shire and industry to help grow racing in the Great Southern Region.
Mount Barker’s season includes two feature race meetings. The annual Grapes and Gallops Race Day attracts a large attendance each January which celebrates the local wine and racing industries. The Mount Barker Cup is run annually in February and is the biggest meeting for the club.
