Overview

The Wagin Trotting Club is a cornerstone of harness racing in Wagin, Western Australia, with a storied history dating back over a century. Established in 1922, incorporated in 1924 and still proudly presents country harness racing action, located at the Tom Thompson Memorial Paceway in Wagin.

The club hosts multiple race meetings during its season, including the prestigious Wagin Cup held each March/April Easter an event that is well supported by the local community.

Beyond racing, the Wagin Trotting Club actively contributes to local initiatives. In April 2022, the club donated $30,000 to the St John Wagin Sub-Centre for a new ambulance, demonstrating a strong commitment to community welfare.

In December 2024, the club collaborated with St John WA during their Christmas race meet to fundraise for updating and maintaining automatic external defibrillators in the region, raising a total of $4,080.
