Max Simmonds Stakes Day Tipping Review

Top Tipsters

The Races WA tipping competition kicked off with an electrifying Round 1, showcasing the impressive form and insight of some of our sharpest tipsters.

Leading the way was 'Jallum' (Jack Allum) who topped the leaderboard with a stellar 1,910.80 points.

Jack's consistent tipping edged out a competitive field, with Kristy Reynolds (1,888 points) hot on his heels, and Rooster3924 (1,692 points) rounding out the top three.

Jack’s path to success was marked by his strategic tips and keen judgment on value, none more so than his decision to back Charino in feature race of the day.

This tip alone earned him a huge 1,356 points.

That standout pick catapulted him to the top, showcasing his knack for spotting value that others may have missed.

While some of his other selections, such as Hagrid in Race 1 and Sentimental Belle in Race 7, didn’t add to his points tally, Jack’s overall strategy proved that finding the right value winners holds the key to success.

Importance of using the $50 "Virtual Best Bet"

While 'Jallum' managed to win without deploying his $50 BIG Bet, other tipsters showed just how powerful this tool can be when used wisely.

KristyReynolds (2nd) 1,470-point haul from her super bet on Diamond Scene nearly clinched her first place, underscoring the potential impact of a well-timed $50 virtual tip.

Tipsters should remember to activate this advantage in future rounds to maximise their chances of climbing the leaderboard.

Overall Leaderboard - Media Performers

Alex Vlahos

He was the pick of the media tipsters from last year's competition and Alex has started similarly here.

He might not have lit up the tipping leaderboard... yet... but his respectable 350 points means first place isn't out of reach.

Look for a huge performance in round 2 of the competition.

Lochie Taylor

Also in a tale similar to last year, Lochie Taylor was unlucky in quite a few races.

Whether it was a placing that should have been a win or an unlucky 4th, things didn't go to plan.

The good news is he can bounce back strongly in the coming weeks to get right back into the thick of it.

Brittany Taylor

Speaking of a bounceback, Brit Taylor is in need of one and ASAP.

A stinging round 1 only saw her get two placings and languishing outside of the top 1000 tipsters.

However, if there was a superstar analyst who knows WA racing back to front, it is Brit, and she is sure to have plenty of special tipping days in store this Carnival.

She is one to follow cause when crunch time comes around she is one of the best.
