Grants of up to $5000 are now available through the Racing WA Community Fund for groups or organisations that are making a meaningful difference in their communities.
The grants target projects that promote community connection, enhance wellbeing for people or animals and foster sustainability for eligible groups in the Goldfields-Esperance, South West or Great Southern regions.
Racing and Wagering Western Australia CEO Ian Edwards encouraged all community groups – big and small – to apply.
“We know many regional charities, sporting clubs and community groups are doing it tough at the moment, so we’re keen to offer our support,” Ian said.
“Race clubs are the heart and soul of regional communities, and our goal is to build on the positive contributions that racing brings.
“In the first round, our Community Fund supported a range of causes, including a Variety WA event in the Mid West, a youth outreach program in the Kimberley and a road safety initiative in the Wheatbelt to name a few.
“We made some real impact in the north, and we’re excited to continue our contributions in the south.”
The second grant round is now open and will close on 31 December 2024 at 6pm.
