Racing WA is pleased to announce the July to December 2025 Feature Race Calendar, highlighted by key enhancements to the Spring and Summer Carnival at Gloucester Park. These changes are designed to elevate WA harness racing by improving race flow, maximising exposure, and attracting increased national wagering interest.
Following the success of the inaugural W Night at Gloucester Park in 2024, the event will return bigger and better in 2025.
The introduction of the Westbred 4YO Mares and Colts/Geldings $100,000 Finals on Friday, 5 September builds on the momentum of last year’s event and further strengthens WA’s focus on rewarding local-bred talent. This addition ensures a marquee night of racing that continues to highlight and support WA’s breeding industry.
A major strategic shift sees the Group 1 Tabtouch $450,000 WA Pacing Cup rescheduled to Friday, 12 December 2025 as the finale to the spring and summer carnival.
This change aligns WA’s premier Grand Circuit event with the WA Pinnacles Carnival, providing the opportunity to utilise the available charter flight to attract elite Eastern States standardbred talent.
Importantly, the race dates have been rescheduled within the existing 12-week carnival to improve the flow of Group 1 races, particularly for four-year-olds. The traditional schedule of the four-year-old classics at the front of the carnival has returned, allowing star four-year-olds to target the WA Pacing Cup.
