Racing WA

Grants now open to support regional initiatives

28 July 2025

Grants of up to $5000 are now available through the Racing WA Community Fund for groups or organisations that are making a difference in the Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, Wheatbelt and Mid West regions.

The grants support projects that foster community connection, enhance wellbeing for people or animals, or promote sustainability.

Now entering its third grant round, Racing and Wagering Western Australia CEO Ian Edwards said he was proud of the positive contributions the Fund has already made – and excited to continue the momentum.

“Last year’s northern round supported a variety of initiatives, including a Variety WA event in the Mid West, a youth outreach program in the Kimberley and a road safety initiative in the Wheatbelt to name a few,” Ian said.

“We followed up with a successful round in the south, and we’re now excited to be back in the north, supporting more projects that make a local impact.

“Racing already plays a vital role in connecting communities, especially in the regions. This Fund is a great example of how we can extend that impact well beyond the racetrack.

“Whether it’s a local sports club, volunteer service or wellbeing program, if your group is making a positive contribution to your region, we want to support those efforts to go even further.”

Applications are now open and will close on Sunday, 7 September 2025.
