Bushfire and emergency resources

Racing WA is committed to supporting the welfare of all thoroughbreds, standardbreds and greyhounds during a bushfire crisis or natural emergency.

Under WA law the person responsible for an animal is accountable for their wellbeing in emergency situations. Participants must consider their welfare in preparedness for, response to and recovery from an emergency they may face. It is recommended that in preparing for a bushfire, participants familiarise themselves with any local government arrangements and consider engaging with their local government authorities to make them aware of their plans in the event of bushfire emergencies.
