The $1M Develop Golden Saddle is Western Australia’s richest regional race and a thrilling new addition to Kalgoorlie’s iconic racing ‘Round’. Set to run on Saturday, October 4, 2025, this historic 1200m sprint will be contested under weight-for-age conditions, with 12 slot holders securing top-tier sprinters to compete in the inaugural event in the goldfields.
Held on Kalgoorlie Cup Day, the Golden Saddle will be joined by the $100,000 Ron Sayers Sprint, promising an unforgettable day of racing for locals and visitors alike, one of the biggest and best race days outside the Perth metro area.
