Harness race information

To keep our code relevant as both a spectacle and a wagering product, it's important we continue to look at how we can evolve and operate more efficiently.

With that in mind, Racing WA is today commencing a comprehensive review of harness’ feature race events, with a focus on the 2026 racing calendar and beyond.

Race programming, prizemoney distribution, race conditions and scheduling will all be considered to maximise turnover and participation to ensure WA harness racing remains sustainable.

Review consultation period

• Consultation period: 25 March 2025 to 31 May 2025
• Outcomes announced: Late 2025

We invite industry participants, owners, trainers, and stakeholders to submit their feedback and suggestions via email at industryfeedback@rwwa.com.au by 31 May 2025.

Additionally, we will be forming a Consultative Group of Trainers to provide direct insights and recommendations. If you are a trainer interested in being part of this group, please email us to express your interest.

This is an opportunity for all stakeholders to have their say on the future of feature harness racing in WA.
