NEW TO OWNERSHIP?

What is Own The Dream?
If you’ve ever thought about owning a racehorse but didn’t know where to start, then you’re in luck. Own The Dream is Racing WA's award-winning competition where you and your mates could win a voucher towards your very own racehorse.
The competition takes place in January and February each year, with teams enjoying access to behind-the-scenes experiences at WA's leading stables, stud farms and race day events. You will meet the trainers, breeders, jockeys, and of course, the stars of the show, the horses! By simply attending the events will earn your team a token towards the major prize draw.
Own The Dream is hosted by ambassador Brittany Taylor who acts as the conduit between teams and racing experts to provide teams with the ultimate learning experience.
Registrations for the next competition have closed for 2025. Information on how to be a part of the 2026 competition will be announced in November.

How does it work?
All you need to do is register a team, a minimum of four (4) and a maximum of eight (8) members. Registration to Own The Dream is free, however to be eligible, teams must consist of no more than 50% current owners.
Only 40 teams (or approximately 200 people) will be approved to compete so make your submission count.
Make sure your team members are able to attend the competition events throughout January and February. The more team members and more events attended, the more chances of winning.
